Rep Handoff, if enabled by your event administrator, allows you to pass an attendee to other representatives within your specific chat booth during an event. This is great for you to use for exceptional attendees that will benefit from speaking with multiple people at your organization, or to get another representative’s opinion.
After you’ve finished chatting with an attendee, from the Chat Ratings page, check Handoff [attendee name] to another Rep?.
Then, select other representatives that you’d like to pass the attendee to within your booth, and leave a Handoff note if you’d like. The attendee cannot see this note.
|All representatives assigned to your booth will be listed for you to choose from. You can hand off an attendee to a representative who is not logged in to the event, so it is important to coordinate with one another to ensure you are handing off attendees to active colleagues.|
Then, click Continue. A preview of your selected representatives and Handoff note are displayed. Click Finish to initiate the handoff.
Chat with a Handed Off Attendee
In order to chat with a handed off attendee, you must be marked as “Available” and have clicked Chat in the booth where the handoff was sent.
The handed off attendee, if they accept the invitation to chat with you, is placed in the your booth chat queue prioritized above any others in line.
If the attendee is not already engaged in their maximum number of simultaneous chats, you are automatically connected with them as soon as you are available.
Your Chats page includes a Rep Handoff Info section that includes who passed the attendee to you and when, and any note they may have left.
