As a representative, you can use Skype to follow up with an event participant. This is a great way to keep your conversations going and capitalize on the conversations your organization makes during your online events.
Note: Not all events have Skype integration enabled.
Step by Step Guide:
- Get set up with Skype
- Enable Skype in your Registration form
- Check to see that your chat partner would like to continue via Skype
- Navigate to the participant you want to chat with
- Start the Skype call

Step 1: Get set up with Skype
If you have not already done so, download the Skype application onto your computer and/or mobile device, and create an account. You can do these tasks through Skype’s website: http://www.skype.com/en/
Step 2: Enable Skype in your Registration form
If given the option when you register, provide your Skype ID on the form to opt in to use this feature. If you did not do so previously or want to double-check that you did so correctly, login to the event and click "Registration" in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Check to see that your chat partner would like to continue via Skype
As a representative, while chatting with a participant during a live event check their profile for an indication that they are open to being contacted via Skype. You should see a line in their profile that reads "Enable Skype? Yes."
While chatting with the participant, ask them if you can continue the conversation via Skype, either directly after the chat, or at an agreed-upon time.
Step 4: Navigate to the participant you want to chat with
After the chat ends, navigate to the Followup menu and select "Call" to initiate a Skype connection.
If you would like to initiate a Skype call after the event ends, navigate to the History section to review your connections and access the Followup menu, and then select "Call" as described above.
Step 5: Start the Skype call
After selecting "Call," your browser will prompt you to confirm that you are launching the Skype application. Skype will automatically launch and prompt you to log in if you have not already done so. Finally the app will confirm that you are initiating a call with the participant from the event. Click "Call" to begin your connection via the Skype platform.
