Choose Login Screen Background & Social Sharing Image
Before building your landing page, you need to select an image that appears in the background of your event's login screen, and as a thumbnail when sharing your event landing page link. You may use one of the provided images or upload a custom one.
The recommended image dimensions are 1600px x 1067px. As with all image uploads in Brazen, It must be a gif, jpeg, jpg, or png file, and 300 dpi is recommended.
We recommend that you do not include text in the image itself as it will not display consistently across all devices and screen sizes. |
Upload Event Logo
Under Landing Page in the sidebar, select Content.
Choose Square or Rectangle. Then, upload your image. Our recommended dimensions for the logo are 210px x 210px. The logo will appear at the top of your landing page.
The Landing Page Builder
To launch the builder, click the green Landing Page Builder button under the section heading, or the option in the sidebar menu.
The Landing Page Builder lets you see a live preview of your landing page as you add, remove, edit, and reorder five types of content blocks. Your landing page design appears on the left, and block information on the right.
Additionally, the top bar contains buttons for previewing how your page will look on different devices, a HIDE EDITOR button, a PREVIEW button, a REVERT button, and a PUBLISH button.
Preview & Publish Your Landing Page
Click the PREVIEW button lets you see a full view of how your draft landing page will appear on mobile phones, tablets, or desktop monitors by clicking their respective icons. HIDE EDITOR removes the side block navigation.
All changes that are made to the landing page are auto-saved in real time. However, in order to make those changes appear on the public-facing landing page, you must click the PUBLISH button.
While in Builder mode, each time SAVE is selected on a published landing page, changes are reflected on the live page.
REVERT effectively brings the draft version of your page back in line with what is currently published.
Manage Content Blocks
By default, two blocks appear for you to use on your draft page - Time and Actions and Event Information. You may remove either of these blocks as long as there is at least one block remaining.
A maximum of 15 blocks per block type are allowed on an individual landing page. |
To add a new block, click ADD in the top navigation, or the plus (+) sign on the top or bottom of an existing content block. Then, select from the icons of block types.
The Banner Image, Free Text, and Video blocks each have a required Title field. This helps indicate individual blocks while reordering. To display the value in this field on the landing page above its content, check Show title. By default this box is unchecked.
Under Visibility Settings, the box Show this block is checked by default, but you may hide a block at any time by unchecking the box and clicking Save.
Click the trash can or pencil icon in any block listing in the side navigation to delete or edit it.
Reorder how blocks display on the page by clicking into a block in the main display and dragging them to new positions, or by selecting a block in the side navigation, then its drag icon, and then dragging it to a new position.
Event Information Block
An Event Information block is displayed at the top of your landing page by default. This block displays the Event Title, Subtitle, and Logo. These fields cannot be changed within the Builder.
Title and Subtitle are managed within your Event Home in the Brazen Control Center. The Event Logo is managed in Content under Landing Page. To update any of these fields, click the corresponding Edit link beneath it.
Time and Actions Block
A Time and Actions block is shown second on your landing page by default. This block displays the event’s Start Date/Time and End Date/Time, as well as a Register button linked to your event's login page. As with the Event Information block, these fields cannot be changed within the Builder.
To update these fields, click the corresponding Edit link beneath it to change it on Event Home.
Banner Image Block
The Banner Image block lets you upload or link to a banner-style image for your landing page. The recommended image size is 1920px x 1080px.
You may select a file from your own device, paste a URL from a third-party hosting site (e.g. Cloudinary), or upload from your device's camera, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
Once an image is uploaded you may Crop it if you wish. Select Skip to use the full-sized image.
Landing page images are responsive to your browser’s dimensions. This affects the visibility of the image content. We recommend that you do not include text in landing page images themselves as they do not display consistently across all devices and screen sizes. |
Free Text Block
The Free Text block features a flexible, HTML-capable WYSIWYG editor. WYSIWYG stands for "what you see is what you get", and it lets you see and edit content as it would appear when displayed on your landing page.
You may use this to communicate event information, instructions, directions, or parking information, and include styled text, images, or embedded iframe content such as maps or video.
Video Block
In order to add a video to a Video block, you must paste in the Video Embed Code provided by a third-party video host provider (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).
Example video embed code for our Candidate QuickStart video:
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/388324152?h=9439844b34"
width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen;
picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
A footer stating “powered by brazen” that links to brazen.com appears by default on all landing pages below the last content block. This footer cannot be removed at this time. |
