Log In to Your Account
Use the login URL provided in your confirmation email to access the live event landing page. If you have already created an account, you can click Log In.
If you have not, click Enter Event or Register Now, and enter your first name, last name, and email address to create an account.
If you cannot remember your password, click the "Forgot Password?" in the login panel to reset it.
Register for the Event
Next, complete the event registration form. Registration forms are unique to every event and you must fill one out for every event you attend. These forms compile information for your personal profile to share with event Representatives.
Enter the Live Event
Read and click through the event Welcome slides, and at the end click the button Enter Event. This takes you to the Event Lobby.
When the event is live, your Chat availability status (orange toggle switch) in the top left of your control panel is automatically switched to “Available”.
Find Booths
There are two ways to get in line to start chatting in a booth - by browsing booth cards in the Lobby, or by using Search Booths in your control panel.
Each chat booth card in the Lobby displays statistics about the current expected wait time and how many participants are currently in the booth. Chat booth types include Text Chat, Text/Video/Audio Chat, Group Video chat, or in some events, Open Networking.
While other chat booth types connect attendees to users in a different group (candidates to recruiters, for example) Open Networking booths allow you to network with other attendees in the event.
When you see a booth that interests you, click Enter to enter the booth.
From Search Booths you can use the toggles to get in line to chat in one or more booths at at time.
Chat in Booths
Once inside a booth, you will see a green Chat button on the top right. Click the button once you are ready to chat.
You are automatically placed into a chat when a designated booth Representative, Host, or fellow attendee within the booth is also available, depending on the type of booth you are entering. Until then, your status will read "Waiting to Chat."
Some booths require you to specify an opportunity of interest before entering the chat line. Click the opportunity that makes the most sense for you. Then, you will need to answer a few questions about the opportunity you specified. These questions help the booth Representatives prepare for your chat.
You will hear an audible "ping" notification when you are connected in a chat, and are automatically taken to the chat screen.
- Keep an eye on your chat connectivity and the time left in your conversation. Bad connectivity could affect your ability to chat.
- You can make yourself available or in line in multiple booths at the same time. Return to the Lobby and follow the above process again to make yourself available in multiple booths within the event.
- Your upcoming chats, based on your current availability, are always displayed on the left-hand side of the Lobby.
- You may toggle your status to “Away” at any time during the event to stop receiving chats from any booths you may be in line for.
-
You can always click the Cancel button if you wish to give up your place in line to chat in a particular booth.
You may receive a prompt indicating that a Representative you chatted with has recommended you chat with one or more other Representatives in their booth.
If you accept the invitation and your Chat availability toggle in the sidebar is set to "Available," you are placed in the booth’s line to wait for a chat with the first Representative listed who becomes available.
However, if you accept and then remove yourself from the booth’s chat queue, your recommended chats will be cancelled, and if your Chat availability toggle is set to "Away," you won’t be placed in a chat with a recommended Representative until you mark yourself as "Available."
Scheduled Chats
Scheduled Chats are automatically facilitated one-on-one connections between Representatives and specially invited attendees — like you! — at preset time slots during the event.
If you receive an invitation, when you sign into the event, you are automatically prompted to select an available time slot for a Scheduled Chat with that Representative.
If ever you want to access your Scheduled Chat schedule and see your pending Scheduled Chat invites, select Your Schedule below your profile information in your event control panel.
Read this article for more on accepting invitations for Scheduled Chats and managing your schedule.
Rate Your Chats & Take Notes
When your conversation ends, you are taken to a chat rating page. This lets you rate your chat and take notes about the Representative you chatted with or anything that was discussed.

Open Networking booths are open for you to chat in for the duration of an event. Be sure to finish and rate your Open Networking chats to make yourself available for additional connections. You will not be able to start new chats until the rating process is complete. |
When you are done, click the Finished button to return to the Event Lobby.
You can access your chat history for at least six months by clicking History in the event control panel. To access the Lobby after the event is over, enter the event just as you would if it were live.
